Mardyke Nightclub.... case study
Hospitality I.T. were delighted to be the chosen supplier for a new point of sale system across the Mardyke complex in C
ork, a 30,000sqft entertainment venue. Located in Sheare's Street, Cork, Mardyke opted for Maitre'D EPoS as they needed a system that was both feature-rich yet stable enough to cope with this extremely busy mixed-use environment and would work seamlessly across their outlets. Along with 9 fixed EPoS terminals, a handheld order taker was required to be capable of being utilised across the complex, a challenge in itself due to the thickness of the walls throughout this immense listed building.
The Mardyke has five bars:
BarBucha - Casual main bar & restaurant
Vodoo - Relaxed bar & club
Tiki - Club early entry bar
Q Bar - Bar & restaurant
Club Iso Bar - Night club
Maitre’D has enabled the leisure complex to have better day to day management of their EPoS system with easy access to management reports both on the terminals and in the back office. In such a fast moving environment, it was essential that Maitre’D could provide up to the minute reporting capabilities and be rapidly able to add new products to the system without any downtime.
Mardyke had several specific requirements for their epos operation including the ability to operate “bar tabs” that could be added to throughout the night from any of the locations within the complex. This allows them to offer corporate nights out with charged bar bills that can be settled at the end of the night rather than on a per transaction basis.
Being a mixed use venue, the floor plan was also customized to allow not only tables but also snooker and pool tables to be visible.
Mardyke chose to add on to Maitre’D the Time & Attendance, Stock Control and Accounts Receivable modules.
